Woman slain near park; man held

A Fort Wayne woman was shot, killed and abandoned by railroad tracks near McCulloch Park early Friday, leading to the arrest of a man police say was fleeing the scene.

Keokuk receives $10,000 offer on old rocket slide

A Wisconsin man is offering to buy Keokuk’s old rocket slide for $10,000 – and the Keokuk City Council appears willing to accept it. Nels Olsen of Cedarburg, Wis., says he is working to either acquire or replace a playground rocket slide made by Miracle Equipment Company during the 1960s and 1970s.
